Privacy

Your photos never leave your device.

FilmDeck has no accounts and no analytics. Nothing in the app phones home, and there is no FilmDeck server that ever sees a picture.

Photos and RAW files

Shooting, developing and exporting all happen on the iPhone. RAW files pulled from a connected camera are stored on the phone. Finished photos go into your own Photos library. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.

Your camera

When you connect a Canon, FilmDeck talks to the camera directly over your local Wi-Fi or a USB cable. That traffic stays between the phone and the camera. The app keeps the camera’s connection details in the iPhone Keychain so you don’t have to pair again, and a backup of the camera settings it changed so Undo can put them back to what they were before the tap.

The “Don’t see yours?” form

If you ask for a camera, on this site or in the app, we store only the camera name you typed, the app version and the platform it came from, with the time. Nothing identifies you.

TestFlight signup

If you join the TestFlight, your email is stored only until you are added to the tester group, and Apple sends the invite. To be taken off the list, email nate@nates-software.com.

This website

The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Fonts load from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address like any web server would. Cloudflare serves the pages and keeps its usual short-lived server logs.

Purchases

FilmDeck is bought once through the App Store. Apple handles the payment and FilmDeck never sees your card or your Apple ID.
